Bike, Books & Other Stuff A Dude Was Gifted for the Holidays

It was the traditional yule affair for A Dude and relatives: Jewish delicatessen pickles, nova lox and bagels (hold the bread), a White Elephant gift exchange that included glares when a liked gift was stolen, but for once that did not end in bloodshed (not literally), a movie, walk and bike ride. I did receive some cool stuff so I figured why not share. Thanks to my relatives for their kindness and generosity.

My brother is a safety nut and gear guy, so it was time for tools.

Gloves are great for changing punctured tires or working on the bike, and who doesn’t need Duck Tape? Screwdriver and small clippers, flashlight and zip ties are also all handy items to have.

The safety light and rain pants are excellent gifts for a bicycle rider like me especially during the winter months when it’s dark by 5:30 pm. Thanks A Dude A Mom!

Mom also supports the writer in me and gave me two books. A third went missing, sadly.

My big gift to everyone was Chapters 1-9 plus the prologue to my WIP (Work in Progress). I hope they will read and comment on it. Someday, my book will be a gift to you (for sale, of course).

A Happy Festivus for the rest of us! Although December 23 is traditionally known as the day for it, it can be celebrated at any time. (Originally The Real Festivus is February 14.) Whatever you celebrate, I hope it was/will be happy!
